Connecting for Change
Helping one Haitian at a time. Connecting us with them. Then we become we. Together as one. Note what one person can do, this woman with her smile as she brings potable water to help. No job is too little. Hand in hand. Bright days ahead as we move beyond this divided time we live in.
Labor & Materials
Plywood, cinder blocks and a nice pop of paint to finish of the transition homes. The construction works are provided with electric power tools to facilitate the process. Providing local Haitians with job opportunities to build back. All while using power tools to accelerate the manual labor.
Design
1 bedroom house model with a concrete fondation. Block plywood for the walls with a metal tin roof. Sante Bus partnered with a small Haitian organization called LARI which provides a carpenter for the construction of these transition houses. Each house is provided with solar rechargeable lighting to give access to electricity.
